Estimate water and urine consistently
Measure refills when possible and note which pet drank in multi-pet homes, wet food, weather and exercise. Litter clumps show trends only; dogs can log outdoor urination.

Same-day care is needed for complete refusal, repeated vomiting, dehydration, collapse, breathing change or inability to urinate; use a lower threshold for young, senior or chronically ill pets.
